What we do.
Engage us end to end, or for a single well-defined piece of work. Both are normal, and neither commits you to the other.
Service 01
Website design & development
Responsive, mobile-first websites built to accessibility and performance criteria agreed before development starts, so there is a standard to hold us to rather than a matter of opinion at the end.
What it includes
- UX and UI design, or implementation of designs you already have
- Content structure and information architecture
- Content migration and redirect mapping
- Analytics setup and a documented launch checklist
What you get: A site your team can update, a conformance report against the agreed criteria, and the source code.
Service 02
Web application development
Component-based front ends in React, Next.js and Vue, written in TypeScript. Interfaces that hold up as they grow, rather than ones that need rewriting the first time requirements change.
What it includes
- Component architecture and state management
- API integration and authentication flows
- Accessible interactive components: menus, modals, tabs, data tables
- A component library your developers can extend
What you get: Documented components, a test suite, and a codebase another team could pick up.
Service 03
Mobile app development
Apps for iPhone and Android that follow each platform's conventions, so they feel at home on the phone rather than like a website squeezed onto it. We choose between one shared codebase and two native apps based on what your app has to do, and give you the trade-off in writing before any code is written.
What it includes
- iOS and Android apps, designed for each platform rather than one layout stretched across both
- Accessibility tested with VoiceOver and TalkBack, including larger text sizes
- Offline behaviour, push notifications and secure sign-in where the app needs them
- App Store and Google Play submission, review and release management
What you get: Apps live in both stores, the source code in your own accounts, and a release process your team can repeat.
Service 04
WordPress & CMS development
Custom themes, plugins and templates built so the people publishing content do not need a developer for routine changes. We avoid page builders: they make the first month easier and every month afterwards harder.
What it includes
- Custom theme development, kept in version control
- Structured content modelling with custom fields
- Editor experience designed around how your team actually works
- Migration from other platforms, and hardening
What you get: A content model that matches your workflow, and training for the people who will use it.
Service 05
Accessibility audits & remediation
Accessibility problems cluster in the same places: keyboard navigation, form labelling and errors, colour contrast, focus management, and custom interactive components. We audit, prioritise by severity and effort, then fix.
What it includes
- Automated and manual testing against WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- Keyboard and screen reader testing
- A remediation plan ordered by impact, not by what is easiest
- Developer handover so new work does not reintroduce the same issues
What you get: A conformance report, a remediation log, and the test evidence behind both.
Service 06
Performance & technical SEO
A performance budget agreed at the start and measured at launch, so speed is a requirement rather than something you hope for.
What it includes
- Core Web Vitals work, measured on real devices
- Image and font strategy, render-blocking resource removal
- Crawlability, indexing and structured data
- Analytics configured so the numbers mean something
What you get: Before-and-after measurements from real tooling, not estimates.
Service 07
Managed hosting & support
Someone actually watching. Monitoring, backups with tested restores, patching, security hardening, and a defined path when something breaks.
What it includes
- Managed hosting and environment setup, Canadian regions available
- Uptime monitoring and alerting
- Scheduled backups with restore testing, not just backups
- Patching, security hardening and incident response
What you get: Written response and resolution targets, and a monthly report you can read.
Service 08
Technology consulting & project management
Advice before commitment. If you are choosing a platform, inheriting a system nobody documented, or working out whether to rebuild or repair, we will give you a straight answer, including when that answer is to do nothing yet.
What it includes
- Platform and technology selection, with the trade-offs written down
- Technical review of an existing system, and whether it is worth keeping
- End-to-end project management across delivery, including other suppliers
- Roadmapping and phasing, so a large change can be paid for in stages
What you get: A written recommendation you could hand to someone else, with no obligation to use us to act on it.
AI · Service 09
Retrieval assistants (RAG)
An assistant that answers from your own documents rather than from whatever the model absorbed in training. Every answer carries a citation back to the source, so a reader can check it.
What it includes
- Document ingestion, chunking and retrieval tuned to your material
- Citations on every answer, linking back to the source passage
- An evaluation set built from real questions, so quality is a number
- An accessible interface: streaming responses announced properly, keyboard operable
What you get: A working assistant, the evaluation set it was measured against, and the numbers it scored.
AI · Service 10
Agent development
Workflows where a model calls tools and takes steps on its own. The engineering that matters is not the prompt; it is the guardrails, the checkpoints, and knowing what happens when it gets something wrong.
What it includes
- Tool definitions with validated inputs and bounded permissions
- Human-in-the-loop checkpoints before anything consequential happens
- Audit logging of every step, so a decision can be reconstructed afterwards
- A defined failure path, because the interesting question is what it does when it is wrong
What you get: An agent with limits you set, a log you can audit, and a documented answer for what happens when it fails.

AI evaluation & governance
Most AI work fails quietly: it demos well and degrades in production because nobody measured it. We build the measurement, and for public sector clients we support the governance the work has to sit inside.
What it includes
- Evaluation harnesses and regression tests, so a prompt change cannot silently break quality
- Hallucination and refusal measurement against a held-out set
- Inference hosted in Canada, keeping your material inside the boundary
- Support for Algorithmic Impact Assessments and the technical input a PIA requires
What you get: Numbers you can put in front of a reviewer, and a system that can be explained to one.
Working together
Three ways to engage us.
Most clients start with one and move to another. There is no minimum commitment to begin.
-
Fixed scope
Defined project
You know what you need: a template, an integration, a specific list of accessibility fixes. Fixed price, fixed timeline.
-
End to end
Full build or redesign
Your site or application needs rebuilding rather than patching. Discovery through launch, with staged sign-off.
-
Ongoing
Support retainer
Monthly hours covering maintenance, enhancements, and someone who already knows your codebase when something breaks.
Not sure which of these you need?
Tell us what is not working and we will say which of the above applies, or tell you honestly that none of them do. We reply within one business day.
